Kid's Activities
The free exhibits and programs of New Visions Gallery are planned with
you and your family in mind:
During the school year most openings feature Hands-On-Art, an area where you can have
fun creating your own art. Watch for the hand icon above in our exhibit
schedules and invitations. |
- Open Houses: Exhibit openings are
free to everyone and often include entertainment such as music,
opportunities to talk with real artists, demonstrations of ways to make
art and talks about the art.
- Weekend Hours: The Gallery is
open 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturdays so families can come and view
exhibits when it is not so busy and parking is easy.
- Group Tours: New Visions
offers guided tours of exhibits by trained volunteers. Many children
come with their school classes. If your class has never visited the
Gallery talk to your teacher. We will also give tours for youth
groups and adult groups. Tour guides share interesting background
information about the art, such as how it is made and why it is made.
They help us develop skills for looking at art.
